Applying in Strips
Gutter Repair - Lining
Overlap Protection of a wooden greenhouse glazing bar
1. Choose a tape wide enough to overlap each side of the repair by at least 15mm (1/2”), or lay several strips together. Ensure that overlaps allow water to flow over rather than into the joins.
2. When covering glazing bars, care must be taken to make a tight seal where panes overlap.
a) At the overlap, make a small fold in the tape, tuck the fold into the angle, and smooth down the top surface to remove any air bubbles.
b) To complete the seal on glazing bars, fold the tape over the end of the bar.
Applying Spirally
Keeping a firm tension, wind evenly, overlapping the tape by half its width. This technique is Ideal for Waterproofing of insulation or pipe lagging and preventing rust on metal pipes above ground.
